Narrative:
Mid-air collision with USAAF C-53-DO (cn 4886) 41-20116, 5 miles NE of Kansas City Municipal Airport. The C-53 (pilot Loyal T. Penn) landed safely. The DC-3 (TWA '377') made a forced landing, injuring the crew (pilot Lawrence K. Welch).
