Narrative:
Nok Air flight 108, a Boeing 737-86N, suffered a runway excursion after landing on runway 03 at Chiang Rai, Thailand.
The aircraft veered off the left side of the runway while landing. The nose landing gear collapsed and the aircraft came to rest in grass.
At the time of the incident a thunderstorm was passing through the area.

Causes
1. When the aircraft deviated to the left and exited the runway. The pilot might have made fewer corrections than necessary because;
(1) The co-pilot could use his right foot to push the right rudder pedal. As a result, the pilot might not have fully used the right rudder pedal.
(2) The pilot did not use reverse thrust levers immediately after touching down the runway, causing the aircraft to maintain speed and be unable to control its direction in order to stay on the runway centerline.
2. The nose landing gear had a problem that could cause it to deviate from the runway. According to the maintenance history, the nose landing gear wheels had been replaced several times in the previous 6 months due to the vibrations during takeoff and wheels that were more worn than usual.
3. Based on recorded data,an abnormality in the nose landing gear steering system could not be ruled out.
4. It was possible that the aircraft's deviation to the left was caused by increased crosswind from the left.
