Narrative:
Crashed during Operation Market Garden.
Whilst engaged upon a glider towing operation to a landing zone near Arnhem the aircraft was attacked by an anti-aircraft battery at 14:21 hrs, 6 minutes before reaching the landing zone. A fire erupted on the aircraft and the Horsa glider was released.
The pilot made a wheels-up forced landing.
