Narrative:
Written off November 23 1974 when destroyed at Ebensburg Airport (FAA LID: 9G8), a public airport located approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) southwest of Ebensburg, Cambria Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. According to the following summary from the official NTSB report:

"INSTRUCTOR PILOT SHUT OFF FUEL TO RIGHT ENGINE DURING SIMULATED ADF APPOACH. PILOT ABORTED LANDING DUE TO A DEER NEAR THE RUNWAY. PILOT APPLIED POWER, AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE RIGHT.

PROBABLE CAUSE(S)
PILOT IN COMMAND - FAILED TO FOLLOW APPROVED PROCEDURES, DIRECTIVES, ETC. IMPROPER OPERATION OF POWER PLANT & POWER PLANT CONTROLS. FAILED TO OBTAIN/MAINTAIN FLYING SPEED

EVASIVE MANEUVER TO AVOID COLLISION
COMPLETE POWER LOSS - COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE/FLAME OUT IN ONE ENGINE
FIRE AFTER IMPACT"

Both persons on board (instructor and pilot under training) survived. Registration N15260 cancelled by the FAA on February 10, 1975
