Sadly Slingsby T61F Venture T2 G-BUFN (ex ZA631) was written off on Friday 5 January 2012 at about 08:00 whilst parked at Compton Abbas Airfield (EGHA) near Shaftesbury, Dorset. The aircraft was blown over and wrecked in gales, gusting at 60+mph. It ended up upside down in the car park at the eastern end of the airfield, port wing broken in half, fuselage twisted and tail plane smashed though a gate.
Aircraft deemed to be damaged beyond economic repair, and the Registration G-BUFN was cancelled by the CAA on 12/1/2012 (just one week later...) as "destroyed"
