Narrative:
To extinguish a forest fire in Segura region ( Idanha- a-Nova) , the CNCS did throw two amphibian CANADAIR aircraft, model CL- 215, Spanish registrations EC- HEU and EC- HET, of the ATA operator. The Marechal Carmona dam at Idanha was the site of scooping for both aircraft.
Both aircrafts took off day in VFR conditions, from the Seia aerodrome, about 16:00 local time, initially heading to the place of scooping, the Marechal Carmona dam, and then to the area of fire in Segura. The first aircraft, registration EC- HEU, held an approach to the dam track in the south to north, at about 16:25 local time, began scooping and, after its terminus, headed for the fire zone.
The second aircraft, registration EC- HET, by 16:28 hours local, held a similar approach to the dam track, but bumps and cuts an aerial power line 30 kVolts, without beacon obstacles, which was practically perpendicular to the aircraft approach line. The aircraft returned to the departure aerodrome (Seia). Aircraft damages were considered irrelevant. No injuries to the two occupants.
