Narrative:This aircraft had been built for the RAF during WW II with the serial NX494. It was sent to the RAAF (Departed Liverpool on SS Gloucester 09/04/1945 arrived Sydney 05/06/1945) and on 09/06/1945 and became A11-32. On 02/04/1947, A11-32 was sold through CDC to L.E.Penn, Lane Cove, Sydney for £505 being delivered on 16/04/1947.
Its first civilian registration was VH-BDL issued on 19/03/1948. After various periods of being on and off the Australian register (19/03/1948 to 18/03/1949, and 07/07/1950 to 12/03/1952) it went to Mandated Airlines in Papua New Guinea on 12/03/1952 and became VH-MAD.
Upon return to Australia 05/08/1954 it was re-registered VH-FED. As VH-FED, it was destroyed on 15/1/1967 when it crashed into a hangar whilst taxying at Wodonga, Victoria.
