Between Duszniki and Podrzewie, an ultralight aircraft impacted a field. The pilot died on the spot. the aircraft was consumed by fire.
It was established that the aircraft had been involved in a hangar fire in April 2017 in which fabric and electrical wiring were destroyed.
Reconstruction of the aircraft to an airworthy condition took place in hangar conditions and was carried out by the owner.
There is a probability that the impact of high temperatures caused a decrease in the strength and susceptibility of the structure to deformation and may have had an impact on the ability to control the aircraft.
