Narrative:
Spitfire Mk Ia K9975: 187th of the first production batch of 310. First Flown 15-5-39. Delivered to 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron 18-5-39. Substantially damaged 3-2-40 when hit snowdrift on landing & overturned at RAF Acklington. Pilot ok. To AST (Airwork Service Training) 11-2-40 for repairs, being next issued to 610 (County of Chester) Squadron 14-9-40 as "DW-S".
