Narrative:
A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner of United Airlines, N27958 forced to return to Tokyo/Narita three times in successive flights in a couple of days due to the same reason, malfunction of the slat of the left wing. The first incident was on the morning of 2nd July when the airplane operated a cargo flight UAL/UA2822 from Tokyo/Narita, Japan to Beijing, China. After 50 minutes from takeoff at 09:25 LT, the 787 declared emergency and turned back to Narita at 10:46 LT. The second incident was on the afternoon of 2nd July, another cargo flight UAL/UA2770 from Narita to San Francisco, CA, USA which took off at 13:47 LT, and landed back at 15:21 LT with emergency declaration. The third one occurred on 3rd July, again on UAL/UA2770, took off at 13:02 LT and landed back at 13:56 LT with emergency. No injuries were reported in all three flights. The runway of Narita was temporary closed after each landing for 13 minutes in total.
