Narrative:A brand new R44 helicopter went down into the Yangtze River with a pilot and three sightseeing tourists on board. Only the pilot survived. Mechanical problem was determined as the probable cause of this accident by CAAC's investigation. Information about this accident was collected from plenty of works that revolve around the marathon legal battle between the owner and the manufacturer of the helicopter. Most sources did not specify the accident location, but some said the helicopter crashed in Fengdu County, Chongqing. The flight probably took off from Yichang, Hubei Province, which is the base of both Pinghu Tour Boats and Gezhouba Sanlian JSC.
Robinson Helicopter Company eventually paid compensation after 17 years.
