A Robin DR.400/180 Regent crashed on a golf course in Laloubère after the engine lost power on approach.
Both occupants were seriously injured and the aircraft was destroyed.
Contributing factors
The following factors contributed to the starvation of the fuel system:
- Incomplete preparation for the flight, which did not give an accurate knowledge of the distribution of fuel in the tanks;
- a lack of training in fuel management on aircraft equipped with several tanks
