Crashed and destroyed 10/11/1956: On a sortie from RAF Chivenor, Devon, the Iraqi pilot lost control in cloud and ejected. He landed in the sea near Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel. Although he inflated his Mae West and dinghy he did not inflate his exposure suit. His body was found close to the dinghy but not attached to it. It was concluded that he had been thrown out in the heavy swell.
