Narrative:
Ex-RAF Meteor F.4 VZ384: Delivered September 1949.Meteor EF-47, was the personal aircraft of the Commander of the Flying Group (OSN) Major Joseph Renier was specially polished and protected with a layer of varnish. It appeared in this form with the Major's initials at the Deurne Airshow in 1950.

On 27/9/50: Substantially (Cat.4(R)) damaged in collision on the ground with Oxford O14 at Koksijde Air Base. Right wing and engine, as well as the rear fuselage were seriously damaged. However, repaired and returned to service in 1953.

Sustained a further accident on 15/4/55: Cat.3(R) nose wheel collapsed at Koksijde (Flying School). Not repaired and struck off charge at Evere later in 1955 (total airframe time 486:15 hrs).
