Narrative:
Blenheim Z7511: Took off for a W/T test. 16/10/1941
On 16 October 1941, an engine of Blenheim Z7511 caught fire on take-off from Luqa. The aircraft crashed just after taking off in Malta and killing two of the three crew members during the aircraft accident at Kirkop, Malta.
Crew:
F/O (67671) Samuel McALLISTER (Pilot) RAF - killed
Sgt (Aus.402272) Edward Harry BRENTON (Obs.) RAAF - killed
Sgt (R/????) W.E MARTIN (WOp/AG) RCAF : had been badly burned.

Sgt W.E. Martin was rescued, burned and injured, by ground crew. He began a long journey to England where he became a "Guinea Pig" at East Grinstead (R. Donovan)
