Hawker Demon K4541, 8 Squadron, RAF Khormaksar: Written off (destroyed) 18/7/36 when struck ground recovering from dive near Khormaksar bombing range, Khormaksar, Aden. Pilot - Flying Officer Denis Henry Spencer (aged 22) - was killed. According to the official Air Ministry announcement in "Flight" magazine (July 23, 1936 page 119 - see link #3)

"FLYING ACCIDENTS
The Air Ministry regrets to announce that F/O Denis Henry Spencer, of No. 8 (Bomber) Squadron, lost his life in an air accident at Aden on July 18. F/O Spencer was the pilot and sole occupant of the aircraft"
