Narrative:
Mosquito DZ340: Took off at 11:50 hrs for a low-level attack on Leeuwarden airfield. 30/10/1942
Hit by Flak near Leeuwarden (Friesland, NL) both crew were wounded, on return.The pilot having been injured by anti-aircraft fire over northern Holland, he flew the damaged aircraft back, on one engine. The remaining engine failed over East Anglia and crashed near RAF Marham. The bomber crashed into a wood near base at 15:10hrs.
