Court of Inquiry held at HQ Cranwell on 17/10/30. The Court's verdict was "Error of judgement on the part of the pilot".

Atlas K1186 was one of 26 aircraft (K1172-K1197, c/n AW.511-AW.536) ordered from Armstrong Whitworth, Whitley, to contract 972069/29 to meet Specification 12/28. Delivered between April and June 1930.
