Narrative:
On Monday 24th January 1994, at 08:40 local time, USAF A-10A Thunderbolt II, 78-0669/FT, of the 75th FS, 23rd FW, based at Pope Air Force Base, was destroyed when it crashed into a wooded area during night time landing approach five miles east of Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina (at approximate Coordinates: 3520′22″N 07757′38″W). Pilot, Captain Landis B. Cook, ejected safely
